In the Sanskrit language, “Angasanskara” means nourishment (sanskara) for the body (anga). Angasanskara started as a project by making personal care products and being mindful of the materials we use – their effect on our body, environment and nature. We aim to make sustainable homes the new normal, with a wide range of affordable organic products, conducting workshops, documenting our processes and providing consultancy.
At Angasanskara our main focus lies on quality rather than quantity. Our production is directly proportional to the demand, we do not believe in over-production. We strive to make sustainable handmade products by catering to the needs of both, the rural and urban population.
Purpose
In today’s impressionable world, we all are trapped in the consumerist idea of beauty, wellness and self care. We are constantly told how we are not good enough or provided with new chemical-induced products to look and feel better. The idea of self care is lost and we are trying to rediscover it.
Sustainable home care products are not a new phenomenon but something that our ancestors would swear-by. It is beyond our understanding why we left practising something so wonderful hence, we are finding alternatives by gaining traditional wisdom and striking a balance by keeping our modern lifestyles in mind.
